Movers in Amaranth, Ontario

Zero Hour Moving serves Amaranth Township in Dufferin County, where nearly every home is a detached house and households are among the largest in the area. Orangeville, Shelburne and Grand Valley are all close by, and Toronto is within reach, so many of our moves here are family relocations.

Amaranth is part of Dufferin County. Our crews move people across the whole region.

About 98 per cent of homes in Amaranth are detached houses, and nearly half have four or more bedrooms. Households average more than three people, so even a standard house holds plenty of belongings, and a quarter of homes date from before 1961 while one in ten is new. Few households rent, and condominiums do not exist. Almost every move is a full-house job with a basement, a large garage or workshop and outbuildings, so a bigger crew and a full-size truck are typical.

The township is rural, with a grid of roads known as Lines running parallel to Highway 10 and Sideroads running across them, and the hamlet of Laurel sits on County Road 12 and County Road 10. When you give us an address, the Line and Sideroad numbers help the crew find it. Many properties have long lanes, and a full-size truck may need to park at the road while a smaller vehicle shuttles items. Winter snow and spring thaw can change what is passable, and a lot of residents have arrived recently from elsewhere in Ontario.

Our crews serve Laurel and the rural roads across the township, plus neighbouring Shelburne, Orangeville, Grand Valley, Mono and East Garafraxa, all within roughly 11 to 15 km. Guelph, the nearest large centre, is roughly 50 km away, and Toronto is roughly 77 km. Planning to leave Ontario altogether? We load at your Amaranth door and plan the long haul to your new province. To quote an Amaranth move, we need your Line and Sideroad address, a note on the lane and the number of bedrooms.
