Packing Tips If You Are Doing Some Yourself
Many customers pack the easy rooms and leave the kitchen to us. These tips help either way.
- Use small boxes for books and heavy items, large boxes for bedding and light items.
- Wrap each glass and plate individually and stand plates on edge, never flat.
- Fill every void with paper so contents cannot shift.
- Never exceed 20 kg per box; test-lift before taping.
- Label the top and two sides with room and contents.
- Keep screws and small parts in bags taped to the item they belong to.
- Pack an open-first box with kettle, cups, toilet paper, tools and chargers.
- Do not pack liquids, aerosols, batteries or candles in the truck.
- Start with rarely used rooms weeks ahead and finish with the kitchen.
